Im Rahmen des diesjährigen Various Others Programms wird Gabriela Mureb den ersten Zusammenschnitt ihres neuen Films Crash präsentieren.
Der Film ist das Ergebnis der Arbeit und der Recherchen, die Gabriela während ihres dreimonatigen Aufenthalts in München durchgeführt hat, der bald zu Ende geht. Murebs Arbeit befasst sich mit den Beziehungen zwischen Körper, Technologie und der Welt. Sie schlägt vor, dass wir den Maschinen zuhören, um den Weg zu verstehen, der sie hervorgebracht hat und der sich in ihren Bewegungen fortwährend widerspiegelt.
Crash wurde im BMW Recycling- und Abbruchzentrum (RDZ) gedreht und bietet die Möglichkeit, das industrielle Erbe der westlichen Welt durch das Innere eines technischen Ereignisses zu betrachten.
Gabriela Mureb lebt und arbeitet in Rio de Janeiro und absolviert derzeit einen Arbeitsaufenthalt im AIR-M Ebenböckhaus in München – eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen Salta art und dem Kulturreferat der Stadt München.
Gabriela beschäftigt sich in ihrer Arbeit vor allem mit der Aneignung von Industrieteilen, um Werke zu schaffen, die sich zwischen Skulptur, Installation, Performance und Sound bewegen.
Diese Ausstellung ist eine Partnerschaft mit Salta art.

As a part of this year’s Various Others program, Gabriela Mureb will present the first cut of her new film, Crash.
The film is the culmination of the work and research Gabriela conducted during her 3-month residency in Munich, which is soon coming to an end. Mureb’s work addresses relationships among body, technology and the world, proposing that we listen to machines as a way of listening ot he path that produced them, continuously reenacted in their movements.
Filmed at the BMW Recycling & Demolition Centre (RDZ), Crash provides an opportunity to observe the Western world’s industrial heritage through the insides of a technical event.
Gabriela Mureb lives and works in Rio de Janeiro and is currently undertaking a residency at AIR-M Ebenböckhaus in Munich – a collaboration between Salta art and the Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich.
Gabriela’s work deals primarily with the appropriation of industrial parts to produce works situated between sculpture, installation, performance and sound. She is interested in how machines inherently carry, in their shape and movement, information about the context and bodies that produce them. Thus, making viewers aware of the political implications of their invention, production and use.
This exhibition is in partnership with Salta art.
