„MAN SPRICHT DEUTSCH“ ist ein autobiografisches und multimediales Kunstprojekt von Sandra Singh & Francesco Giordano.
Das Projekt beschäftigt sich mit Alltagsrassismus, deutscher Migrationsgeschichte und der Medienlandschaft der 2000er. Ziel ist es, durch eine Ausstellung und verschiedene Mitmachaktionen einen Raum für Begegnung und Austausch für Münchner mit Migrationshintergrund zu schaffen.

Sandra Singh, geboren 1990 in München, ist bildende Künstlerin, Fotografin und Kunstpädagogin. In ihrer künstlerischen Praxis arbeitet Singh an der Schnittstelle von Fotografie, Druckgrafik und Performance. Ihr Fokus liegt auf Projekten und Recherche zu Themen der Grenzpolitik, weibliche Autonomie und migrantische Identität. In ihren Arbeiten konzentriert sie sich auf die komplexe Beziehung zwischen Dokumentation und Fiktion und die spielerische Hinterfragung ihrer Grenzen.
Francesco Giordano ist ein queerer Fotograf, bildender Künstler und Kurator, der in München lebt und arbeitet. Er hat italienische und spanische Wurzeln und wurde 1992 in Süddeutschland geboren. In seinen Projekten konzentriert sich Giordano auf LGBTQIA+-Themen und Migration. Seine künstlerische Arbeit wurde international und national ausgestellt, unter anderem beim Belfast Photo Festival (2022), im Auswanderermuseum Ballinstadt in Hamburg (2020) sowie in der Gruppenausstellung „I have no words, there is no title“ in der Rathausgalerie – Kunsthalle München (2022) und während „Denkraum Deutschland“ in der Pinakothek der Moderne in München.

„MAN SPRICHT DEUTSCH“ is an autobiographical and multimedia art project by Sandra Singh & Francesco Giordano.
The project deals with everyday racism, German migration history and the media landscape of the 00s. The aim is to create a space for encounters and exchange for Munich residents with a migration background through an exhibition and various participatory activities.
Opening with performance by Kathrin Knöpfle (8pm): Thursday, 14.12 from 7 to 10 pm
Artist Talk with Francesco Giordano and Sandra Singh as well as Yagiz Dilmen of Kontingent Kollektiv, moderated by Seggen Mikael (in german): Friday, 15.12 from 7:30 – 8:30 pm
Book binding and collage workshop by Sandra Singh: Saturday, 16.12 from 3 to 6 pm

Sandra Singh (*1990, Munich, Germany) is a German Indian artist who works at the intersection of photography, printmaking and performance. She explores border politics, female autonomy and migrant identity through a playful examination of the relationship between documentation and fiction. Her process is informed by personal encounters, emotional and journalistic approaches and a fusion of aesthetics from surveillance technology, fine art photography and photojournalism.
Francesco Giordano is a queer photographer, creative artist and curator living and working in Munich, Germany. He has Italian and Spanish roots and was born in Southern Germany in 1992. In his work, Giordano focuses on LGBTQIA+ themes and migration. His artistic work is exhibited internationally and nationally, including the Belfast Photo Festival (2022), the Auswanderermuseum Ballinstadt in Hamburg (2020) as well as at the group exhibition „I have no words, there is no title“ at Rathausgalerie – Kunsthalle München (2022) and as a part of „Denkraum Deutschland“ (2023) in the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.
